Help & FAQ

Everything Atlas can do, in short answers

How does Atlas work?

Atlas was created by Mark Cano and Sergio Soto Jr in San Antonio, Texas, with Super Triumph custom-made computers. Atlas also uses outside AI, voice, phone and hosting services to process requests. Read the privacy disclosure.

What is Atlas?

Atlas is a free voice-first assistant. Talk hands-free like a phone call or type, and Atlas answers out loud, searches the web with sources, finds places near you on a map, opens YouTube, Amazon or any site, and creates PDFs, emails, logos, images, short videos and talking avatar videos.

Who can use Atlas, and what is it for?

Anyone 13 or older (under 18 with a parent's permission). Use it for everyday help: questions, learning, planning, writing, shopping, getting around and creative work — in any language.

How much does Atlas cost?

New accounts get 10 messages, 5 logos and 1 video free. After that, Atlas Pro is $9.99 a month for unlimited use, hands-free voice and phone calls. Cancel anytime.

How do I talk hands-free?

Tap the sound bars in the composer or type "open chat". Talk any time — interrupt Atlas and he stops and listens. Say "close chat" to end; the small green orb stays above the composer so one tap brings Atlas back.

Does Atlas remember what I sent?

Yes. Everything in the chat — typed messages, files, photos and Atlas's answers — is remembered when you switch to hands-free in the same chat.

How do maps and places work?

Ask for something nearby and Atlas shows a map card with photos, ratings and addresses. Each place has Apple Maps and Google Maps buttons, so you choose which app opens.

Can Atlas open websites for me?

Yes — say or type "open YouTube to …", "open Amazon to baby strollers" or "open eBay to Pokémon cards" and Atlas gives you a button that opens it in a new tab.

What are talking avatar videos?

Ask Atlas for a talking avatar video and you can pick an on-camera avatar — female or male — and write or edit the script. Atlas renders a video of the avatar speaking your words, saved privately to your Gallery.

How are avatar videos charged?

Every account gets 1 talking avatar video free. After that, avatar videos need the Avatar Videos add-on at $19.99/month for unlimited renders — each one costs much more to produce than a regular video, and separate service charges from the rendering provider apply to Atlas, which is why they're priced separately. Regular videos are unaffected: they count toward your video allowance (1 free, unlimited with Atlas Pro at $9.99/month). The add-on works alongside Atlas Pro or on its own, and you can cancel anytime.

Can I make an avatar with my own photo and voice?

Yes. Avatar Videos subscribers and admins can choose Create my avatar, upload their own JPG or PNG portrait and an MP3 or WAV recording, and confirm consent. Once ready, select it under My avatars; it speaks your script in your cloned voice. Personal avatars are not part of the free trial. Delete removes the avatar, voice clone and source files; existing Gallery videos remain. Service processing charges apply to Atlas. Your orb and phone voices stay unchanged.

Where do my PDFs and emails go?

Tap Download PDF and your phone's share menu opens — choose Save to Files, Mail, Messages or AirDrop. Tap Email it and your Mail app opens with the email already written.

Where are my chats saved?

On this device. Turn on Incognito Mode in Settings to stop saving new chats, and delete any chat from the chats panel.

How do I make a call?

Sign in, open Settings, enter your real first and last name directly below your account and tap Save name. Ask Atlas to call a number or a saved contact, check the message and destination, then tap Call now. The phone voice is a live, interruptible AI voice, not a human. The phone icon opens call history.

Can I change my call name?

You can change it once after the initial confirmation. Further changes require manual review with ID, a name-change letter, your photo and a selfie. Contact Support for submission instructions first. A saved name does not mean your identity has been verified.

Who receives an incoming message?

Callers give the recipient's first and last name. Atlas links the message to the matching account and can notify that person. If more than one account matches, Atlas must ask for clarification and never guess or send to both.

Can Atlas call 911 or emergency services?

No. Emergency calls and requests are blocked. Atlas is not an emergency service; use your own phone to call local emergency services directly. Prank calls, impersonation and harassment are prohibited.

Does the phone voice change the orb?

No. Phone voice and orb voice settings are separate. Phone call settings do not change your hands-free orb voice or chat settings.

Where can I see or remove call outcomes?

Open the phone icon or Settings → Voice settings → Recent calls. Outcomes include call status, duration and available summaries. Archive hides a call; Delete removes its Atlas transcript and record. Provider records may remain under their policies.

Does Incognito hide phone calls?

No. It turns off chat memory and local chat saving, not account-linked phone records, saved contacts or Gallery storage.

What happens if a connection drops?

Hands-free attempts to reconnect and shows its connection status. Typed replies and media jobs can continue online and be recovered. A phone call is separate from the orb connection; reconnecting the orb does not redial a phone call.
